Andrea Hohf

Andrea Hohf is the owner of Patchwork Therapy. She is a licensed clinical social worker and child development specialist. Andrea has 14 years of experience as a social worker and has held therapeutic and leadership roles in multiple settings, including domestic violence shelter, community service agencies, hospitals, and group and private practices. Andrea’s work focuses on helping clients navigate the biological, psychological, social-emotional, and systemic influences that intersect within a persons life, often causing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and problems in relationships.
Compassion
Andrea’s strength is empathy and compassion for all humans, and she works to help support the individual or family develop and adapt to the changing biopsychosocial landscape throughout their life. Andrea utilizes psychodynamic talk therapy, play therapy, CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused work to support children, adolescents, and adults who present with issues such as depression, anxiety, attachment disorders (from the child and/or parent perspective), divorce (experience of the child, the family, or the individual adult), adoption, infertility, trauma, grief (including loss of a spouse, parent, pregnancy, child, or ideal child), parenting, LGBTQIA+, school refusal, childhood abuse and neglect, job loss, chronic illness, cultural adaptation, and more. Andrea also is proud to support and serve those who serve others by helping them cope with the vicarious trauma people face in jobs such as first responders, nurses and physicians, military personnel, and social workers. Andrea is an educator on parenting, human development, and in the complexities of trauma and it’s impact on development, so people can feel like they understand themselves and then can make meaningful changes to their lives.

In addition to her work with clients directly, Andrea’s long-term goal is to strengthen the services offered to the community at large by hiring and training experienced clinicians, training masters degree seeking social work students with internship opportunities, offering supervision to licensed social workers navigating the early stages of their careers, offering social work supervision and consultation for clinically licensed social workers, and in presenting on topics such as trauma and the developing child.
